Nikki Heaton Bennett is a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and coach.
Nikki started her private practice over 12 years ago, with a passion to help people become free from restricting and limiting beliefs. This has taken her on an interesting journey of professional and personal development. She now uses her experience alongside her knowledge to deliver therapy that works.
On starting her practice, Nikki was made redundant from project managing a young people’s counselling service due to a merger. At the time she was a single mum to a 4-year-old boy. Nikki’s son was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. Together they have negotiated the life challenges and operations that this has brought for them.
Not one to roll over, Nikki created a way not only to support her son and herself but also to allow her to do what she does best – help people move from existing to living.
Motivating, compassionate, down to earth and realistic in nature, Nikki is a consummate professional who brings humour and a relatable quality to the sessions. She makes you feel at ease instantly alongside feeling you are in safe hands.
Nikki’s professional experience involves working extensively with trauma and abuse. She has provided therapeutic intervention to high schools, the police, social care, teachers, employment assistance programmes, councils, large corporate organisations and private clients. Nikki has found there is no single approach that works for every individual to help deal with their life experiences. Each intervention is tailored to the individual.
